About

Hi guys!
I’m a fourth grade teacher in a small country school in West Virginia.
I have written two ebooks. One is from blog posts I have written here called Jumping in Mud Puddles: A Memoir of a Picky Hyper Big Fat Liar, stories from my youth.
Whether it is flying to Disney World to prove that I can travel anywhere by myself, or taking black and white photos and pretending I am talented, I am  living the second part of my life alone, but not lonely. My children are grown and my 25 year marriage ended 4 years ago. I’m a happy duck. Life is good.

  2. Thanks for liking my blog! I am also a Crazy Cat Lady as I have four living at my expense – none of whom originally belonged to me. I’m hoping to steal a nice tabby next time as the current incumbents are all either black or black and white, and I keep getting them muddled up.

  3. So have you started your book yet? You really should. You really could. We’d really like it if you would!
Groan. Now I sound like Doctor Seuss…

I love that your blog is such a patchwork of stuff. Looking forward to reading more. 🙂

    • Awww, thank you so much!! And no, I haven’t started it yet. I’m rounding up the posts that I want to include in the book. I hope to start on it this summer, as I teach and have the summers off, so that works great for me. Thanks again for your kind words. 🙂

  13. You would write an awesome book! I wrote a book, but it’s probably not near as funny as yours would be. 🙂

  23. Now it’s working! I’m surprised that WordPress still has these little bugs in it however. I must have clicked on the “comment on this article” like 20 times and it just did nothing. I had to go roaming around your blog trying to figure out how to post.

Now it seems to be working super easy and I forgot what I was going to say. Oh yeah, can you add pictures of those signs you described in your article about making political slogans?

    Reply

    • Oh wait a minute, the real test is go to the article and see if I can post there.

      Reply

      • Nope, still cannot post a comment in regards to your article.

The comments “fix” would be when you are on the “home page”. The comment here phrase is in bold, but when I click on it, nothing happens.

    • Ok, I found the bug. Thank you soooo much for pointing this out to me. No wonder I haven’t had anyone write on my blog for about a month. Thanks for taking the time to write. I really appreciate the gesture!

  24. I tried to leave a comment after your most recent article and the article just sat there and stared at me.

    Reply

    • But look, you left one..lol

      Reply

      • Yes, but, I had to know to go to the “about” section (which I only went to as a guess) when I already presumed I would be able to comment directly below the article I wanted to comment about.

    • I’m sorry…lol..I thought you were making a joke about June Cleaver staring at you…lol.. For some reason, when I looked into it, it wasn’t checked to allow people to comment on a new article. I think I fixed it..or made it worse. Thanks for letting me know and thanks for writing. I appreciate it 🙂
